The Orlando Institute
for Leadership of Ministry was started in 1991 when Dr. Steve Douglass asked the Board of Directors of
Campus Crusade for Christ to authorize a school at the new headquarters in
Dr. Bright and Dr. Douglass asked Dr. Steve Clinton to be the president of the
school in May of 1991.
Classes began in September. In 1996 the school was given authorization to
and Master's degrees
by the Florida State Department of Education.
The Orlando Institute is a member of the International Leadership
Council. Distance education
