How to be a Godly Family

html

pdf

God has established three institutions for the preservation and protection of humankind: the family, the church, the government; and the greatest of these is the family. If, in response to the many pressures, the family is dissolved from the American scene then the church and our society are less than one generation from oblivion. But the message is not all one of gloom and doom.  This booklet provides you with the information and the motivation to begin to make changes in your family. Only as you put these ideas into action in your own life will the spiritual fruit be developed. God loves you and whatever the problems are which you face He is able to meet those through His resources in Christ and in the body of Christ.

Social Obligations of the Church

On both philosophical and practical grounds we need to explore the issues of the individual Christian's and the corporate church's social obligation. What are its social goals? How can it develop in social areas with integrity to the gospel? How does God address the church in local situations?  These issues will include ethical, theological and philosophical content and will draw on politics, morals, church polity, liberation theology, learning theory, and character development.

The Apostle Paul followed a strategy for reaching cities and through these cities on to larger areas for Christ. This strategy will be reviewed in scripture and a general approach developed based on common theological and practical elements. This biblical strategy matches some of the 35 city-reaching strategies being used in the U.S. today and in some overseas cities and countries [Church Planting Movements; BILD; U.S. Center for World Missions; Good Cities; Mission America].  A specific case study will be the greater Orlando area (2.2 million residents; 50 million annual visitors from every country on earth).
